I want to print a 3D model of a Laminar Flow Element, LFE, used in a Thermal Mass Flow Meter used in the semiconductor market that makes the chips that make electronics. A LFE is INSIDE the flow meter and in PARALLEL with a sensor that behaves much like ONE of the LFE channels so that Fluid Mechanics transport properties are kept in the same regime, not MIXING a nozzle with a laminar element as an example…
Grab the Link on my DropBox here:
LFE STL File
The part is a cylinder with a diameter of 0.85" (21.5 mm) and 2" (50.8 mm) long… Those fins are spaced 0.050" (1.27 mm) and the same width. Wizards will know which direction to print this…
This is a TOTALLY GEEKY thing for a COMPLETELY Industrial application, having ZERO value for folks wanting to have it on their living room table UNLESS they too are Geeks, like me, soooooo Guys and Gals… Please HUMOR ME, and let this one be printed so we can ALSO show that the IVI Printer can be used for INDUSTRIAL purposes.
I seek to discover the best filament. Would LOVE it out of Nylon, or PVC, or ABS and perhaps out of Wax and I could cast the part.
Pleeeease vote for this one guys and gals and it will be SUPER for me!
You can see where this is used by looking at my website called TacticalFlowMeter.com
You will see where it is used.
I want to use the 3D Printer to PROTOTYPE various LFE Designs and if this works as well as I think perhaps more folks can use this in their every day jobs.
This is completely my design so there are no copyright issues and ANYONE can play with it!
